I love this. It has a barky taste. Probably not for everyone. I didn't expect to like it, though, and now it's my favorite.

I have a love-hate relationship with good oolongs. Most of the time I'd rather be drinking black teas but sometimes I just get a hankering for the strong, sharp taste of a good oolong like this one. It's not a subtle flavor, it's rich and sharp with strong green presence and super subtle tire and tar and scorcher eath notes. Don't misunderstand me, I consider these positive notes as they are subtle and add delicate depth to the tea.

My daughter thought this tea smells like rain water, my husband said it smells a little bit like chocolate and I thought it smells like hay/grass/ grains/barley. The leaves look beautiful: dark and twisted. Taste: nutty/grainy/hearty. Turns out I like Wuyi teas...

A good black breakfast tea. A little smokey, but not objectively so. Definitely worth getting a sampler of.

Decent. I recently tried all of the oolongs offered, and the dancong aria is the only one which sticks out.

When I bought the Oolong sampler, this was the first one I finished. I ordered this tea because it's something I want to hold onto. It tastes great, my family likes it too so I'm giving it 5 stars out of 5.

Very nice, a bit strong for me so makes a great wakeup tea for me. I have to steep this one less.

I really enjoy this tea, smooth and 'oolong-y' tasting.

My first experience with this tea wasn't pleasent. However, when I made it a bit weaker the second time, it was very very tasty. This tea is strongly earthy if it is steeped too long, but made weaker, the earthy, floral, and cocoa notes in this tea work together in wonderful harmony. Also, second time around I didn't use such hot water. Probably around 200° F. Also, true to a high quality Oolong, this tea does get better with each resteep. I'm steeping my third cup right now!

A good and mellow oolong, but I was hoping for something a bit deeper and stronger.

I really like bold flavors, and this tea had it. A smoky deep flavor that survived multiple steepings. So far this is my favorite of all the teas I've tried.

A bit bitter if brewed improperly, and it loses its charm if served cold, but it makes a lovely cup of hot tea on a cold winter night.

Interesting. This liquor has a very nice brown color. Upon drinking, it has a very strange, tight mouthfeel: not smooth; astringent, but also there is something else, a brightness under the soft palate which wanes with later steepings. It has a warm flavor, very unique, which occurs nearly entirely in the back of the mouth: nutty, not sweet, not black, not green; I would almost say sour. That's not bad though; it's only the typical complexity of oolongs; it's a flavor not to be simply taken, but explored. (The flavor cools and dims with later steepings, picking up more sweetness and a floral note.) It certainly has me thinking of a rainy day in the mountains.
Preparation: I've done it a few ways but I think I like this most recent way the best: A tablespoon and a pinch of tea per four to six ounces of water, just under boiling, for 1, 1, 2, 4, and 8 minutes.

This is by far my favorite tea. I drink it with just a few of the sugar crystals and it is perfect.

Very good. Nice interesting flavors. Seems like 2nd steep tastes even better than first.

A very funky flavor. If you are into the different complexities and are really trying to find a diverse and interesting selection of Oolong teas, then this is a great tea to try. I was looking for something more standard and every day, which this is not.

Decent oolong. Couldn't get a ton of flavor out of it.

This is a lovely oolong! It's very smooth - I usually drink it at work, and get at least two steepings out of each batch.
